Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
WhereHouse is designed with a strict Privacy-First, Offline-First architecture. All your inventory data (rooms, cabinets, containers, item names, tags, and photos) is saved exclusively on your phone's internal memory. It is never uploaded to any remote server or third-party cloud.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike traditional inventory management systems, WhereHouse operates without a cloud backend:
- No Account Required: You do not need to register, log in, or provide an email address, name, or phone number to use the app.
- No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for or collect your identity, contacts, address, or location.
- No Cloud Inventory Tracking: The items you log, their quantities, values, and storage locations never leave your device.
2. Google Play Data Safety Disclosure
For the purposes of Google Play's Data Safety Declaration:
| Data Category | Collected / Shared | Purpose & Details |
|---|---|---|
| Personal Info | ❌ None | No names, emails, addresses, or accounts required. |
| Inventory & Storage Content | ❌ None | Stored 100% locally in sandboxed internal phone storage. |
| Location & Sensor Data | ❌ None | No GPS or background location permissions requested. |
| Camera / Media Files | ❌ None | Local device storage only if user attaches an item photo. |
| Advertising & Analytics | ⚠️ Ad Network IDs | Google AdMob may process anonymous device identifiers strictly to serve in-app advertisements. |
3. Advertisements & In-App Purchases
WhereHouse is completely free to download and use. To support ongoing maintenance:
- Banner Ads: Non-intrusive banner advertisements may be displayed in the free version. These ads are powered by verified networks (such as Google AdMob) conforming to Google Play Families and privacy policies.
- Remove Ads Upgrade ($1.99): Users may choose to permanently disable all advertisements via a one-time Google Play In-App Purchase.
- Voluntary Tip Jar: Users may voluntarily support the developer with a digital coffee tip. Purchases are processed directly through Google Play In-App Billing; WhereHouse never sees or stores your payment card credentials.
4. Data Storage & User Deletion Rights
Because your data is stored locally in the application's internal sandbox:
- You have full and direct ownership of your data.
- You can delete any room, cabinet, or inventory item directly within the app at any time.
- Uninstalling the application immediately and permanently removes all stored data from your device.
5. Children's Privacy
WhereHouse is a general audience productivity utility and does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13.
